Since the 1st October 2008, all commercial premises need an EPC when built, sold or rented. From 5th January 2009, any property currently on the market needs an EPC. Also since 1st October 2008 DEC (Display Energy Certificates) are a requirement for large public building.

Only NDEA (Non Domestic Energy Assessor or Commercial) can carry out assessment in the Commercial or Public Sector."
